This benefit is provided as long as you complete at least one year of employment with us. If you decide to leave within the first year, the expenses for the CSCS card and HSE certification will need to be reimbursed to Arkadia Construction.

Measure work areas and set out the first rows of bricks or blocks.
Spreads mortar on foundations and bricks, and places, levels and aligns bricks in mortar bed.
Use a trowel to lay bricks and mortar.
Shape and trim bricks using hammers, chisels and power tools.
Check that rows are straight using a spirit level, laser level or plumb line.
Examines drawings, photographs and specifications to determine Job requirements

Repairing and maintaining building blocks
Working outdoors on construction sites, in all weathers and at heights

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and water heaters.
Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, providing efficient solutions.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and building codes.
Test plumbing systems for leaks and other malfunctions.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to complete projects on time.
Follow safety regulations and industry standards to ensure quality workmanship.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on tasks.

Lay bricks, blocks, and stones to construct walls, foundations, and other structures.
Mix mortar and other materials to the correct consistency for various types of construction.
Use tools such as trowels, levels, and chisels to shape and finish masonry work.
Measure and cut materials to specifications for building projects.
Follow blueprints and building plans to ensure precise execution of work.
Repair damaged masonry, including replacing bricks or stones as necessary.
Work alongside other tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and laborers.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
Communicate progress and issues to the Site Supervisor or Project Manager.

Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily on-site operations and construction activities.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and toolbox talks.
Manage subcontractors, tradespeople, and site workers to ensure work is completed to specification and schedule.
Monitor project progress and provide updates to the Project Manager, addressing any delays or issues.
Interpret and implement construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints accurately.
Oversee the procurement and delivery of materials and equipment to the site.
Ensure all work meets quality standards through ongoing inspections and audits.
Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties or site-related challenges that arise.
Maintain clear documentation of site activities, incidents, and project milestones.
Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement on site.

Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment to walls, ceilings, furniture, or exterior surfaces.
Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired tones or match existing shades.
Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths or masking tape to avoid splatters and drips.
Inspect painted surfaces for flaws, touch-ups, or corrections to ensure a smooth and even finish.
Select and purchase materials including paint, primers, and tools as needed.
Follow safety procedures when working with chemicals, on ladders/scaffolding, or in enclosed spaces.
Collaborate with clients or team members to understand project requirements and desired outcomes.
Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and keep workspaces clean and organized.
Stay updated on painting techniques, tools, and industry trends.

Mix plaster and other materials to the right consistency for application.
Smooth and level surfaces to ensure even coverage.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, repairing cracks, and ensuring proper adhesion of plaster.
Use tools such as trowels, floats, and hawks to apply and finish plaster effectively.
Install dry lining systems and other surface preparation materials.
Ensure that all plasterwork is finished to the required standard, and check for imperfections.
Work in coordination with other trades, including electricians, painters, and builders.
Adhere to health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment.
Maintain and clean tools and equipment after each use, ensuring they are in good working condition.
